Repeater Changes Coming

Post date: Apr 24, 2017 1:49:44 AM

The 147.210 repeater will become a multi-mode repeater.

When this happens everyone will need a CTCSS (PL) tone of 107.2 to access the analog repeater and if you don't want to hear the digital noise you will need a tone squelch set also of 107.2.

With the proper tone set the repeater will know if it is digital or analog traffic.

The new MMDVM will allow DMR, D-Star and Yaesu System Fusion on the same repeater.

However the analog side of the repeater will not hear the digital and digital will not hear analog.

When analog has control digital will be locked out and when digital has control analog is locked out.

There is also and additional Echolink node that will be active on the analog repeater. I will attach the command sheet for anyone who wants to use the node.

During emergency activations in Putnam County Digital will be locked out. All emergency activations will be analog only and at the very least the Echolink node will be turned to receive only so that those outside Putnam County don't interfere with the emergency at hand.

If you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to ask or comment.
